C.L.I.T. Fest … this weekend!

Tomorrow C.L.I.T. fest kicks off at the Grindzebo!!! Bring an appetite for good food and awesome music. We’ll be bbq-ing around 6pm with chipotle black bean burgers, chicken wings, hot dogs, veggie kebabs, pasta salads, and sweets … meat and vegan options available! Bands start at 7pm.

Workshops will be in the afternoon on Friday and Saturday. You can read descriptions on the Workshop page. Here’s the schedule:

Friday

2:00-3:00  Oppression & Mental Health, LinoCut Relief Printing Part 1

3:30 – 4:30 Doing It Yourself: Masturbation Mixxx with Cucci, Accountability 101

Saturday

11:30 – 12:30 Breaking Things and Hurting People: Practical Self- Defense, LinoCut Relief Printing Part 2

1:00-2:00 Pop that Cucci: Sex Ed, Sex Toys, & Your Sexual Health, Bicycle Basics and Mechanics

Friday and Saturday bands start at 5pm sharp (not punk rock time!!). The show has to be over by 11pm. There will be food, beer, and wine available at the Waterheater til close (veg options!). Bring your cash because they don’t take cards.

Saturday is the Punk Rock Flea Market at the Waterheater! Get there early to get a table or contact Christina at markt4livet (a) hotmail.com. You can also bring your own table or blanket to spread out your records, used punk gear,  baked treats, homemade goods, mix tapes, art, etc. The market/swap is free and starts at 4pm. Bands start inside at 5pm.

Sunday is the Punx Picnic and last day of the fest. Bring a dish to share at the potluck. BYOB! You can drink at this event but you can’t sell anything or else we could get a $3,000 fine. Yes, $3,000. Show starts at 2pm and must be over by 7pm.

At the Waterheater for the month of August: check out art from Tanya Herrera, Halsey Swain (Halseycaust), Elli Stefaniak, Lydia Crumbley, Thea Gahr, Amy Kay Stanforth, Tanya Finder, Heather McLaughlin, Katie Burkart, & Jacqui Rae.

Lastly, you can stop checking the site and just pick up a fest guide and map at the Thursday BBQ or at the entrance to the Waterheater all weekend. See ya there!
